The Declaración iDEA® App automatically sends the agreed report between the drivers involved in an accident to the respective insurance companies of both vehicles.
You can fill out on your mobile device your version of the accident and the statement made by the other party. The system will send you a code to proceed with sending the report to your insurance company. To the other driver's phone, another code will be sent (at no cost) so they can download and review the report and indicate their agreement. The agreement will then be communicated to both insurance companies involved.
Once the other party receives the code, they can review the Electronic Accident Statement in two ways: on the website www.declaracioniDEA.es or through the Declaración iDEA® App on their own smartphone by entering the received code and their license plate.
Accepting the accident statement does not imply acknowledgment of responsibility. Acceptance signifies recognition of the facts as recorded in the report.
The Declaración iDEA® is an initiative from the Insurance Sector, supported by all companies operating in the car insurance sector in Spain.
